It's always annoying to have top players playing div2 tho.
In my case, I don't have the level to have fun in high matches in div1, I find it pretty tidious, too much tryhard and rage, I really need focus to compete, but in div2, this season at least, there weren't teams that were 10x better than me, I had fun most of matches, winning or losing, as long as I could play for fun.
With too many top teams, this ain't possible, they'll for sure finish top 2 and lose a season playing vs weaker than them.

I kinda understand your feelings, but when there is a league there is competitiveness.
And with the mindset of knowing that FM was over the last years, and also currently is the best league based on average skill of players and teams. With also having the highest amount of top players, it is gullible to think you can have fun and beg for the fun aspect while not having any serious amibitions.
Also don't want to disappoint you, but as it looks now it should get even more into the direction of more competition, also in Division 2.

They will stay in div2 for a single season and then go back to div1 with their team, instead of changing constantly all together. And what's the point in avoiding them? Eventually if you advance from 2nd to 1st div you will face them and other strong opponents anyway..
