Here lies my AA/EA confession:
I started playing with 16 extrapolation in the beginning of the "HTML era", and continued doing it like that for an entire season at Klub Emeryta, where I played as DM, or tried to. Using low extrapolation, according to my experience, gives an advantage on "mid duels", because since you see the pitch in a more clear way than people with higher extrapolation, it becomes easier for you to predict rebounds and also exploit slight positional deviations that the opponents make compared to the "ideal" position that you should be at. Now, here comes the problem with low extrapolation (at least with W10 and/or with my poor setup), you just can't control your circle like players with high extrapolation, you just can't, for you to make a "2X" (Doubleshot) you have to focus like your life depends on it, and it won't flow like you usually want (Doubleshots are useful when u can control the angle you want, with low extrapolation it is very hard if not impossible to do so).
Even if in that season with Klub Emeryta, me and my team reached top2 in every single competition (Cup, League and HCL, the last one which we won), the reality is I got carried by my teammates, I would literally just put the ball forward and layed on my chair while my two forwards would do the job (SAKY and xSha), and in the games that they did not do the job (and SAKY would choke

), I would basically throw the game, like I did on Cup final vs TPP, which not only made me understand "the art of defending" more, but made me realize I needed to higher my extrapolation to fight against people that with higher extrapolation could basically exert "corner kingdom". So, I started at 20 extrapolation this time, and got it up 5 by 5 in an interval of few days, until I suddently reached 100, which is, to this day, the extrapolation that I feel comfortable with (even if playing with 60Hz can only give you such a confort, since sometimes, for no reason, your circle feels heavy instead of light, and i just use my religious believes and spam "ESC" to see if my brain can distinguish yellow dresses from blue dresses in the way i want to see, blue for peace).
In the end, I think limiting extrapolation won't do much to the game, in fact, it will limit people like me, who can't play on a lower extrapolation due to setup (like come on, do not bring the argument "skilled players can play in any extrapolation", I could skill how I wanted in Flash, I'm not a "product" of extrapolation/setup, with all due respect), and make the game less balanced, since some will continue to be able to play like before, while others will have to adapt while their peak potential will probably be significantly worse than what they have reached before with extrapolation. Those "injust" things would only be solved if HaxBall moved enough interest for Sponsors to organize LANS, where everybody would play with the same setup and ping, since on-line gaming has its own limitations as we all know. But, me and you know that probably isn't going to happen, so let's pray together that in the future, mechanical keyboards and monitors become more acessible and make less of an impact between eachother, so we can see a more fair competition.
That is all, have a rest of a nice day, and i'm searching for a team, please pick me, I beg.
