but really money will mean nothing to people so there would be no incentive to sell say i was offered 10 million for a player i accepted then i went to buy a player i couldnt as no one would be willing to sell for fake money

money means players, the more money you have the more you can bid on a player of a team even if their not for sale? or the more you can outbid other teams who want the same player as you? that would be exciting..

the thing about money should be kept simple, you have a 10mil budget and no players as the captain of your oficial team, everyone is worth 1mill at the start and everyone bids for the players they want in their team once they get their players they can just keep the money and later on if one of their players is basically not comming in or theyr not doin well, they can buy a player or trade a player from other teams, maybe teams that are not doing well at that time of the league, like want away players.

The incentive is money to buy a different player.

Can't a captain value his own players how he wishes? Then another captain would have to meet that value in order to sign that player.

Wow, wouldn't this be a perfect world.

It is virtually impossible to create a finance system successfully. Finance is one of the most complicated things in the world and things would just spin out of control and not make any economic sense in this league.

Yes, it would be great to have, but it can't work.

The value of money will never be fixed in the league it would easily run into a dead end. Simple as, can not work. Just impossible.

Money is all about needs and wants. There is no needs in this league so therefore, what is the point of money? When you sell, there is no expenditure on kits and overheads etc, so there's really no point.

Aidan raised a fair point. He sells a player for a whooping amount of money, but it won't really matter because nobody else would have the same incentive. I certainly wouldn't.

if the player is signed by the captain and he is already in the team, his value should be the same as the value he was bought for or a fixed £1m if he was a free agent, its a possiblity that the captain can set the value of his player but only with the clear consent of the player as well, if a player is wanted by another club and the captain doesn't want to sell him/her, then the player and the captain can nagotiate on setting a fixed price of either £3m, £5m or even £7m if the budget is £20m per team. theres no random price bids if the player is signed already but theres auction if the player is unsigned..

for example, if Aidan is a free agent and 3 different teams want him they can have a bidding battle from £1m upto however far the teams want to go at it

but

if Cathalio11 is signed by a team and not the captain, the teams can choose from 3 or 4 options:

A £3m Bid

A £5m Bid

A £7m Bid

or a non-rejectable £15million bid

The selling team have a choice of rejection for the first 3 bids but not the fourth,

once a player has been sold for 3m,5m,5,7m or 15m, that becomes their new value and thus theres no £20m £35m £50m or £80m values..

IT CAN WORK!

Right, this is getting way too complex, as it was always going to be. Can we just dismiss the idea and move on?

its not really complex, its just a system. and the prices are fixed so there's no complications..
feed me can become much more exciting and more interesting like this and i dont think anyone else has done it so it would be mad.. its worth a try and if we keep everything clear and there's a clear policy then it would be consistent aswell so.. its just a matter of how many people like it because it is possible.. .. ..

I have to agree with Cathalio. This will only work (if at all) for a while. It's already spinning out of control in this thread imo.

But what if, as well as $100m every captain gets 3 magical gold coins which allows them to steal players undetected for 2 games at a time... and 1 silver coin which allows them to play with 4 on the pitch undetected...

Nope, wouldn't work very well plus it's too much effort and we don't do effort around here, it's one of our rules.

This man knows. Effort is our nemesis.

Besides, the trade & free agency system we have now works perfectly for us so why try and make things overly complex?

okeey.. would be fun tho... esp for the competitions, imagine right now soccerettes isn't doing well atm then a team like bombay badboys comes in with a non rejectable £15mill bid for socrates and then go on to win the league.. but obv its gonna take some effort.. it wouldn't spin out of control if there's options that you tick on the bids instead of figures.. its up 2 u lot anyway whenever you feel like it..

I didn't even know about this that you could trade.. mb then.. i thought you could only just sign players in the draft and then u stick with that team.

Yeah we had two trade windows during the season, and captains have pretty much had free reign in cutting and signing free agents so far. Free agency is going to be much more restricted for season 3 though, but to compensate for the new restrictions, trades are going to be allowed for all season in season 3.
