Wiiii wrote:More skill on big easy? That's bullshit. You have more goals by pressing through the wall, there is no striker in offense, so that you don't have midfield passing. It just looks like shit at all.

I don't care whether you guys care, but i would be out, if you changed it... but do what you want. There was not even one convincing argument for big easy imo.

Edit: If you want, we can discuss about smaller balls

everyone will end up playing the same way on big easy anyway

As evidenced by what exactly? Your imagination? :)

They're playing 4v4 big ez for 2+ years in Russia and nothing like that has happened. There's more variation in defense, more variation in transition to attack, more variation in attack. There are teams that rely on all-out defense and counter-attacks, there are teams that rely on playmaking and short passes thus getting most of the possession, while sacrificing their defence, there are teams that play with 2 strikers and pretty much a third striker when attacking, etc.

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about.

There's only 1 tactic in big. Everyone plays the same. It's a primitive format for primitive players. Everything depends on invidual skills.

teams already do those things in big too

teams can do that in big too.. defending with 2 and leaving their AM behind the opponent's dm to block/disrupt him

i bet 90% of them have the same basic strategy

You'll still see 19/20 teams relying on the usual triangle attack strategy with a mainly passive goalkeeper, with only very slight variations on the same basic theme.
Maybe if a team is a long way behing their opponents in terms of technical ability, they'll rely more on lucky breaks on the counter, but you'll always see the triangle being used in FM/YeS by the stronger team.

'50% of goals are luck'

Of course, because we haven't explored how to play it properly.

As Milk said, Girg raises some good points and I totally agree.

Even though I wasn't there at the time when we moved to 4v4 didn't 3v3 get more votes? Surely just because there isn't a big majority for big doesn't mean that should be the only deciding factor.

Do whats best admins.

go for big easy imo :D

Not true, many GK's are in favour of big easy as GKing in BIg is beyond boring.

well if your dm is someone like jonny or fritz and you play safe don't try and be adventurous then of course it's going to being boring; but if your dm is someone like song1 then goalkeeping isn't so boring

Oh you can box in big, bayer neverlosin proved that last season. i played against a turkish team who only defended 2 and had two strikers waiting for the pass from the gk or dm; so that is similar to girg's using 2 forwards and 2 defensive players tactic.

i think fm should go big easy, but not in season 7, but in season 8.

Bayer Neverlosin can box on big last season because they were in division 2 against much weaker quality of players compared to them, now in division 1 they are up against better and more similar quality players and are they boxing now? no.

Most people found it boring to play. This was before Galaxy was established and was when 4v4 became the new hip and happening trend for most of the core FM'ers due to YeS.

And there is need to change. Change is what keeps things interesting; albeit if you do it subtly. Fifa is an example. Even though it's more or less the same game every year, they add new features such as new commentary, new tricks, dribbling styles etc. If they kept releasing the same game without these changes then no one would play it. Either the league format needs to change or the cup format and personally I would prefer big easy as the league format and maybe cup as 4v4 big 3 man which in a way would appease both parties. Big easy is tried and tested so it's not like we're walking in a dark tunnel with this change. The only problem I see with changing the pitch is a massive reduction in teams and tbh that's a pretty big problem. :clown:

Reduction of teams isn't exactly certain, who knows - we may expand more as people might want to try out Big Easy which pretty much hasn't been accessible to them in a proper league format before.

They will be easily replaced, it's of no major concern for me, and if worst comes to worst we can just go down to 8 team divisions again for a season.

The way I see it, is that if something like a pitch change is that radical that they feel forced to leave the community, then they clearly aren't here for the right reasons to begin with and we would probably be better off without them.

Plus what mlf said^, we may lose a few but we may gain a few more in their place.
