"24. If you retire when currently in a team when you come back from retirement (if in the same season) the team you were previously on gets to decide whether to trade/cut/keep you." From season 3 rulebook but does it still apply this season?

Just read the season 4 one over:

"Rules not listed that may have applied during Seasons 1, 2 & 3 are still in place so make sure you are familiar with the old rulebooks, too." so yeah. Got some insurance

Nah, Mad that rule doesn't apply this season. It was changed when we increased the retirement time from 8 to 20.

Whats the reason that the rule I quoted doesn't apply? Just because retirement is longer?

Thought Joe changed it when it was announced.

But yeah, we thought that because the original time was only 8 games(which was reduced even more with the schedule) people could force their way out of teams more easily with it. After the whole Frisky/Masterchefs thing it was changed so that people could be retired for 20 games but the captain would then have no control over them when they decided to come back.


That rules from previous seasons thing is just a disclaimer really, it's there for us to fall back on if something dodgy happens(like the Frisky/Masterchefs thing).
