Transfer Market

Hello guys.

I'd like if someone could possibly justify (or explain) why this league has the transfer market open 24/7?

I'm pretty sure you don't need me to highlight all the devils of this system (in a league of 10, we face more than 10 different teams  )

This is, put simply, league adulteration that could be stopped.

If a team finds itself deep down the table few days into the season it's lack of proper team planning, chemistry and organization. It's the captains fault and he should get to feel the consequences, as opposed to getting a free out of jail card allowing him to sign every foreign star or people from other teams (because we've already seen what that can lead to).

Examples happen all the time. Casper and his original team could have beaten or draw hoBa (it's inside the realm of possibility) and disbanded the day after, but it all happened a bit too early ;). Surely Casper had no agenda and it just turned out to be that way. But had he had an agenda, the system makes it all easy for league adulteration, and I'd love to hear what you guys think about it.

if someone can enlighten me

Wot you on m8, I wanted to give up the captaincy for some time now since my exams started cos captaining takes up way too much time and I didn't wanna fully disband so I gave captaincy to VTech in the meanwhile, would you rather a team disband or someone else take over?

itt: our first game wiv h0bA we fuk'd dem in da arse cum at me! :ovo:

i know Casp, I'm not blaming you for anything, just used a recent example to show how it could potentially be abused.

#justice4stableteams

not sure why theres a need for an entire team change just because you can't captain though - i haven't captained all season yet we've remained the same team ??

Just to be clear new players can still join teams I quickly updated the rule book to this:

6.3 Players which have played for another team already in the season can only play for another team once the transfer window re-opens again. Transfer window opens after the 9th League game of the season on 11th April

6.7 Cuts and signing new players from free agency can be made at any point during the season.

It's not really feasible to block free agents from joining teams at any point in the season, as we'd be royally fucked if a team were to disband outside of the transfer window.

Casper signing for Cathletico is illegal by the way(as you played for GW and we are now outside the window), and if you play for them you will probably get a defloss for it.

We started on a contracts system and had to switch during the season so it's all a little wonky at the minute, but it'll all be fixed for next season so things like this are avoided.

Just need to educate people on the responsibility of being captain of a team or just plain being in one. And this isn't impossible.
People shouldn't see disbanding a team just because as an option. Plus, teams are big enough to prevent this from being a problem. Opening a winter transfer market (mid season) would allow teams that so much really need to disband to be able to at least push to mid season and the team could potentially be saved.

If a team so much has to disband, then so be it, free wins for everyone that has to play them what else can you do? It's still more fair that allowing that team to completely change and exponentially change the outcome of the original league (that's a bigger deal, in my opinion).

I'm glad to hear it's being looked into, just hope that whatever new rules you guys come up do stop complete roster change ups and things like people jumping from contender to contender and back to another team. Good luck

should probs carefully consider captains, 2 captains have now left their teams due to exams yet knew about them when accepting captaincy

pure idiocy tbh

If I might add one of the reasons I stopped being captain of caths is laid bare in tello's post.

Twice we've been one of the first teams to face a team loaded with galacticos due to some poor other team's implosion, and twice it's seriously affected our season. It really doesn't leave much incentive left to try and persevere and develop a new team of my 'own' players when any Pedy or Zerothree can just waltz in and bring a bunch of top-league YeS players into the division and have them run rings round you.

Was Power Rangers not a team that got totally replaced mid-season as well? Not saying that it was your fault that Krasic (I think anyway) didn't make the original team work but you should at least acknowledge that you're only here as a whole because of exactly this.

Anyway Ren and the others do raise good points, this is all that is really contributing to FM really going downhill, however is there anything really you can do to stop teams doing this? You can't stop teams signing players outside of a small transfer window because even the most stable teams will most likely want to chop and change a few players here and there. It really would just create more problems than it does already as you can all but guarantee teams will have to disband or take many deflosses because of it. Unfortunately any team > no team so that's just how it goes. I do feel empathy with your team though seeing as teams like you and Caths just get shunted by teams suddenly becoming 'stacked' as it were.

I see a 15 page thread coming on :).

or Sign 12 players and end up 7th like Arriba is the other solution  at least then your team will survive all season without change

One thing i'd like to say is even when i was in Bayer we did not even have a team filled with galacticos - Surely they do now however - BUT the difference between me/zero and you is maybe whereas you play with players in your own hax-level me and Zero have haxbuddies and play with them that are in our hax-level.

I mean in your team you play with people that you know right?

Even in the current TMB team there is no real stand-out player/s except for maybe iNoob and Nukroys (arguable even).
I really dont think you know what top-league YeS players is tbh!
You havent seen the highest level of YeS maybe..

The best players currently in YeS are

kAoS, Fritz, Yaadon, Ced, Nino, aguero10, rkd, Falk (returned), Gnaw, iNoob, Stingox, Rene, Gerrard, Isco, CvRk, RTZS, KingKong...

In fact most of TMB players do not even play in the first division of YeS !
i love naho for-example i think hes a top player and has loads of potential, but compared to YeS standards he is definitely not one of the best.

------------------------------

But anyway if you left Cath just because you couldnt get them to be in top 3 i think thats pretty sad IMO because captains like you are also what this league needs that have other hax buddies especially from UK playing that symbolize this originally british league. I thought you were doing a wonderful job on Cathletico and IMO they were a pretty damn good team so i am a bit disheartened :(

In a perfect world teams would be constant throughout the season, but it's not feasible. Hax isn't, or at least shouldn't, be the top of anyone's priorities and so other things are always going to take precedent. Even those who seem the most reliable will have irl shit to deal with at some point. It can't be helped unfortunately.

squads are big enough to be able to impose specific transfer windows, teams might require more planning, it's done in other leagues and there isn't much trouble if at all.

You won't know until you at least give it a try.

yes mlfa, I acknowledge that but it's because it was allowed that I was handed the team, I'm pretty sure they could have pushed up until a mid season transfer window the least because it's not like they became inactive or anything.
