I wouldn't want the ball being made smaller tbh. Too much change.

5v5 huge would be awesome for the cup.

Ghost wrote:Has to be big easy, surely. I just cannot into 3-def big any more, it's so dull and frustrating.

Going from current poll results we'd probably just end up switching the formats of the league & cup, so the league would be big easy and the cup would be big 3-man(would give those aiming for CL more reason to try and progress further as they'll get better quality practice matches for it).

Unless anyone is man enough to try 5v5 huge for the cup? I've been saying for ages it's the way forward but no one listens.

Only problem with that though is that 10 people on the pitch is gonna lag. Willing to try it though.

Could also play 4v4 with a smaller ball for the cup.

I think the Americans have tested it or w/e and it doesn't work if the ball is the same size or w/e, doesn't mean we have to follow. I might just have been reading too many /sp/hb threads tho.

Just don't end up going down the route of having the smaller ball for the league. Look at why Pablo left the Bundesliga, some people wont like changing it that much. It would also make newer people be put off as they'll struggle to adapt to it.

I do reckon 5v5 for the cup might be worth a go though, just as long as one of the default maps stays in use.

I dunno, it's only 2 extra players so I don't think it'd be that much of a change. I guess it depends on the host though as apparently some people can only host rooms for 10. I've played 5v5 games on the RFL pitch and the ping isn't any different to how it is with 4v4, and that pitch can get pretty laggy sometimes.

Worth a try though, in the off season we can give it a trial in a pre-season cup or something?

Agree with Donny about sticking to default maps, though. It's not worth risking rare desync errors and ping issues with custom mades if we go official with it.

Pre-season cup yeah, if that doesn't work then keep cup to 4v4 big 3 man def.

Also you lag in any room hesur anyway so it doesn't really matter :barri:.

5v5 would be have to be on a bit smaller map than huge, huge is just too... huge.

And yeah pre-season cup, cos how many times have we said we'll do one of them? :fp:

i guess from a attacking pov you would want big easy as its easier to score, but from a goalkeeper/defence you would want to stay on big because the goal is easier to cover

and it does seem abit easy on big to have one man in the corner and the goalkeeper and guy in the middle just camp it out making it pretty hard to score, so big easy would make it more interesting

go for big easy imo :D

Not true, many GK's are in favour of big easy as GKing in BIg is beyond boring.
