If you had scored in time it would of gone to overtime..

It made it 2-1 so if you scored on time then there would have been time for a kickoff. Maybe make a rule for the league that if there isn't time for a team to kick-off then it isn't a goal?

Done.

As said multiple times, the game manages these situations itself. If the goal is in time there is always another kickoff. If it's not in time it either enters overtime or ends stating the winning team depending on the scoreline at the time.


In this instance, at 2-1, if the goal was in time(making it 2-2) there would have been a kickoff and the game would have entered overtime. As it did not, the goal wasn't in time.


As this is Joe's cup, if he sees it different then so be it. It's up to him really.

I PMed him because I didn't want this thread to become an argument about if it was a goal or not. I made my case to him as to why I feel it wasn't.

My reasoning over the 'non-goal' is:

It didn't go to a kickoff, had it been a real sport like hockey or whatever the buzzer to end the game would have gone off before the goal had gone in. If either team had been winning the half it would have said 'Time is up' and not counted the goal.
