How much extrapolation are you playing on?

Hi, I'd like to make this discussion to hopefully gather some feedback and present it to basro, so that hopefully we see further improvements in the game, since I feel like a lot of people have similar problem to my own and it makes me not want to play this game anymore.

1) How much extrapolation are you playing on?
2) Do you think a very high extrapolation (100+) still gives an advantage even though it makes the gameplay ridiculously shaky?

and a random question - do you ever feel the need to change settings (be that extrapolation or any of the zoom settings) daily because it just doesn't feel good or comfortable anymore?

It would be nice if you put the option 60-80 in your poll

i think it just makes the ping even a bigger factor, for me 40 is prob as shaky as 100 is for someone from the netherland

Personally, i change my extra once in a while but its always on the same scale, 80 - 100, dunno if im weird or smth, but i just got used to it and so far its fine and i keep on playing on a 2x zoom without changing it.

Why do people use extrapolation and what advantage does it give?

Never understood this. For me game runs perfectly smooth with 0, adding extrapolation only delays when I get the feedback/information from the game doesn't it?

And putting minus (/extrapolation -20) just delays the time from when I press x to when my player kicks the ball, so no advantage with that either

As you see a prediction from the game 20ms in the future with extrapolation 20, if you have an input lag from 20ms, you feel like you are pressing x just in the moment you want to, and not 20ms later.
The cost for it is less accurate information and warps as the prediction mostly isn't true (which isn't too much needed if you have a good game reading though).
If you are used to your input delay already, then it should feel fine for you with 0, but you might have worse reactions than others in some situations. Other option is that you don't have input lag, or at least nothing noticable, that's really nice for you then.
It doesn't give you an advantage in any way, it just helps your mind, because you move in the time you press the key (in your own perception).

75 with at most 25 ping thanks to a very good net and a good pc so it feels like when i've put 0 with bad ping
BUT i have way more reflexes and i really got better thanks to this

Tried to play with 0, impossible

I already asked on the previous topic but

Can anyone with NO extrapolation go to flash and tell me if it feels the same than in html
Can anyone with HIGH extrapolation go to flash and tell me if it feels the same than in html
Just want to know if I played 6 years with shit perceptions

Playing with 60 extrapolation only because i can't play with higher extrapolation.
Anyway another big problem in the game imo is the chat box, it's blocking too much of the pitch view, Basro should make it transparent or at least a setting that gives u the option to play without the chat box. The only solution today is to delete it with inspect element which means u won't be able to type during a game or see what others write unless u are refreshing your browser page.

I play on 28 extrap, 1920x1080, 1.25x Zoom, 100% res, 60fps because laptop screen 60hz

I would not recommend these settings because I am bad at haxball thx

Extrapolation: 70
resolution: 1920x1080
Zoom: 2.0x
Browserzoom: 175%
