Helo everyone, I am Hamza aka benis, the head admin of BFF Futsal Community, and I would like to tell you guys a little bit about this game mode

A lot of you may be tired of the same gameplay that big has had, and want something a bit different. Futsal offers a refreshing mode with dynamic gameplay, minimal corner spam by turks and a fun alternative.
A lot of big players have made the move to futsal recently, and some big names even quit reghax (most notably, the leading goalscorer in FM Div1!) completely after finding the playstyle too boring to get back into. In fact, some of the admins are names well known in big; Maddude, Lyreco and the FM Admin A.Tuntija.

BFF is heading into Season 4 now, with team registrations closing on the 15th of January. We recently hit 1000 members, and growing more. We estimate to have 36 teams for next season, with a Division 1 and two Division 2 Conferences. We just opened 2 public rooms, and if you prefer a higher level, we have 1vs1 and 4vs4 ELO coded by Anddy. An active community, with games like Among Us etc being played almost every night in Voice Chat. We have good media content like weekly GOTW videos and TOTWs, and often have funcups taking place.

The first season of the Futsal Champions League took place recently, and was a huge success, with 24 teams from 4 leagues. (BFF holds the most slots). Futsal is a growing game mode with exciting potential, and we would like to see some more of the best haxball players in the world here!

BFF uses a playoff format instead of just a regular league season. If that's not your thing, I invite you to join IFL, a futsal league with a more regular format. We also don't currently use a promotion/relegation format, so if you make a team that performs well in preseason you can jump the queue and compete in Div1 straight away.

Thanks for this information, seems like pretty and if i compare with big map mode it seems more enjoy than big. I didnt research different game modes for Haxball but i said for future this;

Finally I want to say about your game mode; Probably they are playing with more intelligent than big mode and minimum spam problem, also i think there is no macro problem ( or not like big mode ). We cant solve lag and ping problem for now but i think 2 things already solved with that mode.

Yeah it looks like a mini game compared to 4v4 3def [Flash], but we dont have better options anymore so fuck it

Its actually possible to carry ur whole team as GK, and about the scoring a lot of goals yes its true, but if u have two good teams vs each other there wont be a lot of goals. In the past ssns of BFF div1 has gotten real competitive, we have playoffs too after regular season to really decide which team wins the season

It is true that it is far easier to score in futsal than in big, and when the best teams play average/bad teams you can expect high scorelines.

Worse teams will usually lose, in big they may bus for draw or score an early goal and end up winning 1-0, but in futsal its rarer for the worse team on paper to win.

In terms of GK role, GK is actually very important and can change the whole teams results, in the best teams GK and DM work together to initiate a lot of attacks. Actually, the Season 2 MVP was the GK of the league winning team.
If you are sceptical as a GK that you may not be recognised for good performances when it is quite easy to concede, this is not the case and the fact that CS are recorded per half not per game may help.

I would suggest to try out futsal by joining a team and playing fs, pubs or ELO can usually be quite cancer since everyone in the community is able to play it and the average iq is about 40.

As for the way our league is hosted, some people complained due to the lack of a BFF Forum. Actually, a forum is not required/that important when hosting a discord server community, as lots of the perks of a forum can easily be replicated in a server. However, we actually ARE progressing in making a forum which we will trial for preseason, which is currently up and running but not public as of yet (soon to be). It will be nothing extensive like the FM forum which is excellently put together, but will still fulfil the needs of our community.

I like a lot what you're doing for players, everyone has to remind that every admin (of every league) on this game does it for free, just for entertaining the HaxBall community.
