Regarding this game: So we played it yesterday at our agreed and appointed time, 20.30. Somewhat, for the first time in my Haxball career I failed to save the recording, and sadly neither did any of my teammates nor the opponent team (even though they had 2nd half + OT). We went on to win the game with 2-1, after losing the first half by 1-0 (the half we don't have).
I tried to talk to the admins, but both Hannes and MrP was quite clear with their replies; replay the game or both teams will receive a deflose.
I fully understand this decision, but at the same time I need to question this one and overall FM's judgement when it comes to specific scenarios. Sure, we failed to provide the entire recording, it's retarded and should be punished, but at the same time, when the opponent team can confirm the result, shouldn't the result be approved? Especially when theres only one half out of three missing. In my opinion you have to use common sense in these situations; its a cup game, the first round, what motives would anyone of us have to lie/manipulate the result? It would be different if it was a league deciding game where both teams had something to gain from a certain result. When you can't stretch the rules for the sake of making the league as smooth (and fair) as possible, you create a league with forced and unnecessary bureaucracy.
I'm well aware of what the admins response will be(if you even bother): ''It's in the rules [referring to rule 1.337 or whichever it was]''. What you fail to understand is the fact that admins are ABOVE the rules. The league is an autocracy, you can do whatever you want, and you should do what's best for the league in general. What you also must grasp is that by not allowing the result, you give the losing teams no reason to ever save a recording, because why would you save the recording when there's a chance the winning team forget to record, and then you have a chance to replay the game.
I don't care if we'll have to replay the game (sounds really truthful after this whining rant), I even think it's the right call. Just consider this as criticism for future situations which you should deal with and process individually, because I know how stubborn you admins are. Believe it or not - the rulebook isn't perfect and will never be, therefore there are always exceptions to be made as long as they are rational and can be justified.

Anyway; Sunday 20.30 ok? xd
